Castello Monsignor della Casa

Historical Villa – 2500 sq.m Borgo San Lorenzo

This is a delicate building re-development undertaken in order to reconvert a partially abandoned fifteenth-century Villa (former residence of Monsignor della Casa, well-known author of the Etiquette) into a large “Historic Residence” destined for the top-level Luxury Living circuit.

The large Villa and, although to a lesser extent, also the beautiful park that surrounds it, have been the subject of careful restorations for all the recoverable components which have been accompanied by a design that has placed the utmost care in the inclusion of systems to avoid excessively invasive interventions onto existing structures.Where this was not possible, any further intervention was carried out according to a design philosophy that provided for the use of materials and finishes typical of the local construction tradition used with measure and sobriety.

The design covered every detail also in terms of furnishings, fabrics and accessories with particular attention being paid to the study of light and all finishing materials. The result obtained was that of having given all the rooms a feeling of refined welcome made of material substance rather than useless decoration where, without overflowing into any degree of unnecessary pomp, one perceives the great quality that characterises each component of this newly discovered historic home.
