Restoration of a Farm Complex – 400 sq.m Lastra a Signa (Province of Florence)

This is the ruin of a farmhouse completely renovated through a studied amalgamation with a small eighteenth-century carriage house existing in close proximity. The two buildings, different in architectural style and materials, were treated in a totally different way but connected through a sort of “architectural hinge” consisting of a new staircase with a fully glazed roof that is distributed over the two buildings on the two levels of the house.
